Qweary: Vegan Shoes, Boots, and Belts

Anonymous asked: "Most of my wardrobe leans feminine, but I'm starting to look for more masculine looks, which I find more appealing and comfortable.

"So first of all, thanks! Qwear has been really helpful. My question is, could you recommend some stylish masculine vegan shoes, boots, and belts?”

For footwear, I really love Olsenhaus (sometimes carried at Nordstrom stores) and Cri de Couer. If men's shoe sizes are a pain, Steve Madden's Madden Girl brand is vegan, so just skip past the heels and sandals and take a look at the more tomboy-friendly boots and oxfords. Alternative Outfitters is a vegan online boutique and has a men's section, so they could be worth checking out for your wish list of items, but the vegan online store I love the most is Vaute. They carry an excellent selection of super stylish duds. Definitely keep a running list of your favorite vegan brands in your note app of choice (or, you know, a notebook), so that when you're out and about IRL shopping, you can work on recognizing vegan-friendly brands in department stores and boutiques. It'll make the process a little less painful for you with time and practice.

(A few other brands that aren't masculine but definitely worthy of a vegan shout-out are Urban Expressions and Matt & Nat, who make great handbags and wallets, and for makeup, I love Geek Chic Cosmetics and cult favorite Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, or O.C.C.) Good luck!
