The Fashion Gene

We may not know if the gay gene runs in families, but at least we know the fashion gene does!

High Schooler Emily (red sweater) and her older sister, college student Ali (plaid shirt) bring their relaxed New England styles to their home in Maine. Emily’s femme style mixes a crimson sweater — conveniently matching the leaves and highlights in her hair — with jeans and classy sandals. This is a really great look when you want to keep it casual but step it up a notch (Like for a date!) Ali’s swagging a classic dyky look with her button-down flannel shirt. You can’t go wrong with white polo shoes if being too preppy is not a concern for you. White shoes are not too hard to keep clean if you just ask for shoe cleaner at the store.
