Exciting news for all the Qwearlings out there. After years of being the object of my affection, Topman is now sponsoring Qwear!
Those who’ve been following us for a while know that I have been hooked on the British haven for hipsters and dappers alike ever since I discovered how well they fit smaller framed queers. I’m thrilled to partner with them to bring you deals, inspiration, and outfits modeled by Yours Truly.
Their sponsorship is pretty groundbreaking as far as menswear fashion goes, because I am the first female-assigned blogger ever to be recognized and supported by Topman. One of my goals through Qwear was to shed light on all the women and female-assigned people buying men’s clothes in the hopes that brands would cater more to our bodies. Because of the growing community of queer and trans fashionistos, Topman now recognizes that their customers identities go beyond cis men, and that their XXS sizing comes in handy for those of us who don’t normally fit into men’s clothes. Needless to say, I’m a pretty happy queer right now.
Never been to Topman before? Their US locations are New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and selections at Various Nordstroms throughout the country. To check out their UK store finder, click here. Everything is also available online.
I’m excited to show off some favorite pieces of theirs, and I would love to see some of yours! If there is anything special you’d like to see with them, hit me up. In the mean time, a lot of you have been asking for jean recommendations, and Topman is currently selling all their full priced jeans at 15% off online. Check it out!
Thanks for being you,
As Qwear's Founding Editor, Sonny’s work centers around envisioning a future in which the clothing people wear does not dictate their chances of survival. Sonny was awarded 2015 dapperQ of the Year and was the first trans blogger to be sponsored by Topman. In March 2016, Sonny spoke at South by South West's first official queer fashion panel.
