Qwear Made History at the First Queer Fashion Panel Held at SxSW

Qwear Made History at the First Queer Fashion Panel Held at SxSW

I just got back from Austin, where I presented on the first ever queer style panel at SxSW. It was crazy fun, and we had an amazing audience with great energy and thoughtful questions! After the panel Girls with Flair! generously hosted a party for us, with a fashion show by Stuzo Clothing. We also had some amazing press from The Austin Chronicle.

I'd like to send HUGE thanks to Anita Dolce Vita at dapperQ for putting this all together and inviting me! It was an honor to speak with everyone! The other panelists were Aja Aguirre, Autostraddle's Beauty Editor and creator of Fit For a Femme, and Leon Wu, CEO of Sharpe Suiting. It was also awesome to have trans model and Huffpo writer Ryley Rubin Pogensky with us to introduce Dolce Vita.

Listen to audio from our talk!

Here are a few photos from our panel, and stay tuned for the video.

It never hurts to be introduced by the President

And in case you're wondering what I wore to the panel, I had on a thrifted blazer, Zara tee and pants (I swear I wasn't repping Zara), Topman Shoes, and a smiley pin from Pocket Square Clothing.

For updates on cool press or to see what other folks had to say about the panel, follow us on twitter.
