Qwear to speak at SXSW and More!

Dear Qwears,

Exciting news!

Qwear has been invited to speak on two panels in March that will greatly raise the visibility of our work.

The first is at South by Southwest (SXSW), an annual a conference in Austin, Texas that brings the world’s largest gathering of creative professionals in film, tech, music, fashion, and more. Qwear’s founder Sonny spoke there 4 years ago on a panel hosted by dapperQ. DapperQ invited Qwear to speak again this year, and, as our original speaker Mojo Disco is no longer able to attend, we invited Qwear associate Dev Seldon to take her place! The title of the panel is Blurred Lines: Beauty in a Gender Fluid World.,

We can’t share all the details about the second panel just yet, but it’s held by an excellent LGBTQ charity. Qwear Founding Editor Sonny Oram and fashion director and designer Rupi will join other leaders in queer media.  We are thrilled at the possibility of volunteering for this incredible organization.

But we can’t go to either of these panels without your help.

The total trip expenses for Mojo to attend SXWS is $1,300. For Sonny and Rupi to attend the second panel is $200.

In total, we are raising $1,500 to speak at these important events.

You’ve been very generous in the past, and because of your help, we’ve been able to put on 5 fashion shows! Please continue to support us in the fight for LGBTQIA+ liberation.
